2013 Top FellowshipsWelcome to our 2013 Top 50 Health Administration Fellowships list.  Over 150 hospitals, clinics, and health systems offer health administration graduates the opportunity to pursue a fellowship with their respective organizations.  This is an excellent opportunity for graduates and a wonderful opportunity for organizations to foster leadership and development within their own organization.  These fellowships are extremely competitive and these organizations play an instrumental role in the development of future healthcare leaders.

This 2013 Top 50 Health Administration Fellowship list will show students the most competitive and beneficial fellowships available.  We rated these various organizations with a standard formula based off of US News Hospital Rankings.  First, the organization must offer some form of a healthcare administration fellowship for students.  Second, we factored in national rankings in various specialties.  Finally, we factored in state rankings and other specialty rankings.  Based on our formula, we developed a list that represents the best hospitals and health systems that offer a healthcare administration fellowship.

49. Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN

It is nationally ranked in 7 adult specialties and is ranked #3 in Minnesota. The Abbott Northwestern Hospital Administrative Fellowship position is a program that pairs a Fellow with a Hospital Executive in a mentoring relationship. The Fellow participates in all senior leadership meetings; work on projects in finance, information technology, process improvement, and operations throughout the hospital and gains exposure to how a hospital is managed.

50. St. Vincent Hospital & Health Center, IN

St. VincentSt. Vincent Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the state of Indiana. Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, this health system has hospitals throughout the state and is nationally ranked in 5 different specialties. The St. Vincent Hospital Fellowship allows a Fellow to experience various areas within the system, as well as increasing leadership roles.
